Background

 

Having served his apprenticeship with Restall Brown & Clennell, one of the country's foremost cabinet makers, Steve went on to serve nearly 20 years at Kearns Furniture and advanced to the position of workshop manager, responsible for a team of over 30 men and organising all production from concept to completion.

 

When Kearns finally closed its doors in 2003, Tony and Steve decided to utilise over 30 years of accumulated knowledge and experience to form Roberts & Whitehorn, focussed on working closely with clients to offer professional craftsmanship with a more personal service. After 10 successful years the partners mutually decided to take their ideas in slightly different directions, creating 2 separate companies albeit still working together on various projects.
